Link21 will transform the 21-county Northern California Megaregion's train network. Our goal is to connect, upgrade, and build upon the existing train system. The Link21 Program will feature a new train crossing between Oakland and San Francisco.
Link21 is currently in the early planning stages, where efforts are focused on developing a train network that best serves riders' needs, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and promotes economic growth. Link21 follows a robust equity program that will work to understand and incorporate the needs of all communities.
